Less than a month after its debut in India, the Acer Nitro V 15 became available in Nepal. It is the cheapest gaming laptop in Acer's portfolio today and they have gotten even more affordable and interesting with the recent price drops and a new top-of-the-line variant. So, let’s talk about the design, chipset, battery life, specifications, and latest price in Nepal of the latest Acer Nitro V laptops.
Acer Nitro V Overview:
Design and Build
The latest offering from Acer looks quite like its Nitro 5 lineup with slightly bolder aesthetics. Acer Nitro V features accented diagonal strips complemented by a bold glowing logo on the top. It’s also about 400 grams lighter than last gen's Nitro 5. (2.5 kg vs 2.1 kg)
Talking about the screen, you are greeted with a large 15.6 inch 144Hz IPS panel with minimal 3ms response time. It has the standard FHD (1920x1080) resolution with a 16:9 aspect ratio.
Performance
Powering the Acer Nitro V are Intel’s 13th Gen processors. You can configure it with either a Core i5 or Core i7 CPU. But, the variant here sports the i5-13420H which is an 8 Core (4P + 4E Cores) 12 Thread processor with a maximum clock speed of 4.6 GHz. Pair that with either the NVIDIA RTX 2050, RTX 3050, RTX 4050 or the RTX 4060 GPU. All of these are available and come with 4GB, 6GB,6GB, and 6GB of GDDR6 VRAM respectively. Do note that the Nitro V 15 lineup of laptops top out at 75W of power for the GPU which won't draw out the full power of cards like the 4060. On the other hand, less powerful cards run fine fed with that amount. As a result, this Acer Nitro V is a beast of a machine at a relatively affordable price point. To cool this CPU/GPU combo, the Nitro V has dual fans under the hood.
The laptop comes equipped with 16GB of DDR5 RAM, which can be further upgraded to 32GB. As for the storage, you get 512 GB of M.2 NVME PCIe Gen 4 SSD. This, too can be upgraded to up to 2 TB.
Battery and Connectivity
Fueling the Acer Nitro V is a 4-cell 57Wh Lithium battery that can be recharged via a 135W AC adapter provided in the box.
Moving on to the ports, you get a Thunderbolt 4 port (USB-C), three USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports, a headphone jack, and an ethernet port. Connectivity options include WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1.
The price of Acer Nitro V 15 in Nepal now starts at just NPR 94,999 for the Core i5 + RTX 2050 model. You can buy a more powerful RTX 3050 variant with extra RAM for around NPR 110,000 mark. Furthermore, if you want the latest RTX 4050 GPU, there are i5 and i7 models that go for NPR 123,000 and NPR 135,000 respectively. Lastly, the brand new Core i7 + 4060 combo is really well priced too, netting you just about 1.5 lakh rupees. Or go for a stronger i9 CPU with the RTX 4050 for some Rs. 5,000 extra. You can get all these models via the Hukut Store or inquire here.
