In this article, we'll be discussing the best gaming laptops under NPR 2 lakhs you can currently buy in Nepal. For most people looking to buy a competent gaming laptop in the country, this is the sweet spot. If your budget is around
1 lakh or
1.5 lakhs, we have a separate buyers' guide for that as well.
How to buy a gaming laptop under Rs. 2 lakhs in Nepal?
When searching for a decent gaming laptop under 2 lakh, you should be looking for one that's capable of running AAA titles smoothly under medium-high graphics settings. Besidesf this, seeing how we're hunting for a gaming laptop, your choice has to feature a high refresh rate screen as well. At least 144Hz or higher.
Manufacturers usually compromise on the color accuracy side of things in terms of affordable gaming laptops, but 100% sRGB should be fine for most cases. To make sure you face no issues when it comes to multitasking, at least 16GB of RAM is a must and think of future upgradability as well. With that out of the way, let's take a look at the best gaming laptops under 2 lakhs in Nepal.
Best gaming laptops under 2 lakhs in Nepal [2025]
Acer Nitro 16 (2024)
Stepping up from the budget Nitro V series, you can get numbered Nitro models under 2 lakh rupees that bring higher power components, bigger batteries, and better builds.
This one sports the popular Ryzen 8000 series-based AMD chip coupled with either an RTX 4050 or RTX 4060. Both GPUs now run at their full 140W leaving no performance on the table unlike the Nitro V 15 and V 16 models which are generally capped around that 70-90W limit. For RAM and memory, it's the standard 16GB of DDR5 and 512GB of Gen 4 NVME SSD.
Drawing a comparison to the Nitro V15, you get a better build and display as well. The 165Hz panel in this Nitro 16 has higher brightness and full sRGB colors for a more accurate and vibrant viewing experience. Even the battery is much bigger at 90Wh and you get a 4-zone RGB keyboard instead of a white backlit one.

Asus Zephyrus G16 (2023)
The Zephyrus G16 (2023) is the only gaming machine on this list from Asus but it makes its mark quite clear. It is powerful, and it is powered by an H series Core i7 from a generation back paired with an RTX 4060 GPU.
This 10-core 16 Threads CPU boasts a max boost frequency of 4.9GHz. On the graphics side, you get an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 laptop GPU with a 120W dynamic boost. The 2023 Zephyrus also brings MUX Switch with advanced Optimus, allowing users to cut off the bottleneck caused by the integrated GPU in the visual pipeline without a restart. Likewise, it ships with 16GB of upgradeable DDR5 RAM and 1TB of SSD storage.
The 16-inch high-resolution screen refreshes at 165Hz and brings support for G-Sync. Moreover, the overall profile is quite portable at just around the 2-kilo mark with very good build quality and premium-looking aesthetics.
Lenovo LOQ 15 (2024)
If you're surprised to see Lenovo's affordable gaming option so high up our list, give us a chance, there's a method to it.
Firstly, yes the build quality isn't up to par with the Legions, Zephyruses, and even Omens of the gaming realm with a modest plastic chassis. But, you know what? It's sturdy and minimal enough to earn passing marks. More importantly, this LOQ 15 brings an RTX 4070 card in under 2 lakh rupees which definitely tilts the scales in its favor ..by a lot.
The wattage for the card is capped at 115W; shy of its 140W rating from NVIDIA but these laptops' GPUs are generally seen hovering around 100W at maximum because of voltage constraints so you are really not losing out much performance from a full-power 4070 in a more expensive laptop.
But that being said, there are many compromises with this machine which is why we don't recommend it for everyone. Firstly is the Ryzen 7 7435HS CPU which is quite an old Zen 3+ based processor without an integrated GPU. Pair that with a small 60Wh battery, and the overall battery life of this laptop is in tatters. Besides that, the weaker CPU will also yield lower scores than other competitors in games where GPUs aren't pushed to the limits like Counter-Strike 2, or Valorant for example. So, only get this laptop if you want that GPU uplift and are willing to sacrifice the endurance. Moreover, research the kind of games you'd want to play and how much they'd benefit from a beefier card. Because the display is also limited to FHD resolution you won't be able to play games at 1440p without an external monitor.
There's also a Core i7+RTX 4060 offering if you want a more balanced option but that guy is a little too pricey.

Lenovo Legion / Legion Pro 5i (2023/2024)
The 6th spot is shared between two Legions both of which offer excellent values as all-rounders. The first is a vanilla Legion 5 (2024) with a 14th Gen processor while the other is last year's Pro sibling (2023) with Core i7 13700HX.
Not only do they pack a punch when it comes to raw performance, but other aspects of the machine like the build, the display, and the keyboard are all top-notch as well. As such, if you were looking for an all-rounder, both of these are a great pick.
The CPU is the Core i7 13700HX/14650HX which boasts 16 cores and 24 threads along with a 5.0/5.2 GHz Turbo frequency. This is paired with a beefed-up GeForce RTX 4060 from NVIDIA configured at 140W TGP. Likewise, you get 16GB of DDR5 RAM and 512GB of NVMe SSD.
Opening the lid, you are greeted with a 16” QHD screen with 165Hz refresh rate, 300 nits of brightness, 3ms response time, and even a 100% sRGB gamut. Also, the Legion TrueStrike feels better than keyboards on other gaming laptops.

HP Victus 16 (2023/2024)
The fifth spot is held by a very competitive Victus 16 from HP. There are two different variants currently available but bizarrely the more powerful one can be snatched for a lower price right now. So, if you are looking for the best bang for your buck value in terms of performance, then the HP Victus 16 (2024) is one of the best options.
It's got AMD's Hawk Point Ryzen 8845HS chipset paired with a beefy 120W RTX 4070 from NVIDIA. The 2023 variant ships with a similar Ryzen 7840HS, but with a weaker RTX 4060 card. Instead, it's got a higher res (QHD) and speedier (240Hz) screen with lower response times (3ms). So, you are picking between raw performance and overall usability here.
The Victus is one of the very few laptops to bring a powerful RTX 4070 card under the 2 lakh rupee mark. But, its 1080p display means that you'll likely need an external monitor to get the most out of this GPU more suited for 1440p gaming. For most users, one of the other options in this list like a Legion or a Zephryus might provide better overall usability but this Victus is sure to give you the highest raw numbers of the bunch (in terms of gaming).
The rest of the specs include a 70Wh battery, a USB-Type C port, and WiFi 6 support. You get a white backlit full-sized keyboard with a decently large trackpad and a Full HD webcam. All that for just around 1.8 lakh.

- 16.1" FHD, 144Hz refresh rate, 100% sRGB, 7ms, 300 nits

HP Omen 16 (2023)
Next, we have the Omen 16 from HP’s flagship gaming lineup. The 2023 model opts for Intel's Core i9-13900HX processor, paired with RTX 4060 graphics. The latter has an 8GB GDDR6 VRAM. Moreover, the laptop has 16GB of DDR5 RAM, which is upgradeable to 32GB. Likewise, you get 1TB of SSD to store all your favorite games. The display here measures 16.1 inches and boasts a 165Hz refresh rate.
It can get as bright as 300 nits for indoor usage and supports 100% sRGB gamut. For gamers, it comes with a 4-one RGB keyboard with 26-key rollover and anti-ghosting technology. Further enhancing the gaming experience are the stereo speakers with DTS:X Ultra. The laptop is fueled by an 83Wh Li-ion battery with 230W AC charging.
Dell G16 7630 (2023)
This one's a bit pricey but it rightly deserves the third spot. The Dell G16 7630 from last year is slightly more expensive than our 2 lakh threshold but if you are already willing to throw that much cash on your next gaming machine, then a few extra thousand rupees is just drops in the pool.
The G16 has Intel's i9-13900HX processor with 24 Cores and an impressive 5.4GHz boost clock speed similar to the Omen before it. And, even the RTX 4060 from NVIDIA with its 8GB of VRAM and 140W TGP is the same. But when the G16 outdoes the Omen is in terms of the display. Here, you get a 1600p screen with a superfast 240Hz refresh rate and 100% coverage of the DCI P3 gamut. That's a rare find in this segment so the G16 is equally as compelling to gamers and creators alike.
For gamers, it comes with a 4-one RGB keyboard with 26-key rollover and anti-ghosting technology. Further enhancing the gaming experience are the stereo speakers with DTS:X Ultra. The laptop is fueled by an 86Wh Li-ion battery with 230W AC charging.
Acer Predator Helios Neo 16 (2024)
As you might have realized, you can get pretty nice machines at this sweet spot of around 2 lakh rupees. So, the ranking is quite competitive and our Predator Helios Neo 16 (2024) just barely misses the podium. But, the Core i9 14900HX and RTX 4060 it offers is bang for your buck.
It ships with 16/32GB of fast DDR5 memory and 1TB of NVME Gen 4 SSD by default. Of course, there are extra slots for both the RAM and SSD here for upgradability down the road. The display is a taller 16" WQXGA panel running at 240Hz with 100% DCI P3 colors and over 500 nits of brightness that's perfect for not only gaming but also for color-sensitive work and media consumption.
Moreover, there's a large 90Wh battery, plenty of connectivity options, and a 4-zone RGB keyboard which are just the cherries on top.
