Drone conglomerate DJI launched yet another drone in Nepal. This one brings upgrades over the Air 3 that launched a few months prior. Let's take a look at the DJI Air 3S and also discuss its price in Nepal.
DJI Air 3S Overview
The drone
The DJI Air 3S is a rather lightweight drone weighing in at just 724 grams. It is equipped with omnidirectional obstacle sensing and forward-facing LiDAR. Furthermore, the drone can reach speeds of up to 21 m/s or 75.6 km/h. Likewise, it can soar at a maximum altitude of 6,000 metres.
It can be mounted with a 4,276mAh battery providing a flight time of up to 45 minutes. Moreover, it has a built-in storage of 42GB simplifies and comes with a compression algorithm that can reduce video file sizes by 30% without compromising quality.
Camera and Gimbal
The DJI Air 3S is a powerhouse for aerial photography featuring a dual camera. Its primary camera is a 50MP unit with a 1-inch CMOS sensor. It offers 24mm equivalent shots with detail and clarity. It is then paired with a 48MP medium telephoto camera that can capture distant subjects with minimal distortion. In addition, this drone allows users to record 4K@60fps (@120fps slow motion) videos, with 10-bit colour modes like D-Log M and HDR.
It also includes a three-axis mechanical gimbal that moves in a range of motion. It can tilt from -135° to 70°. Likewise, it can roll and pan at 50° and 27° on either side respectively. In the meantime, the users can tilt the gimbal from -90° to 50° and pan it at 5° on both sides.
The DJI Air 3S is available in two combos in Nepal. The first is the RC-N3 Fly More Combo which includes the RC-N3 controller. This remote can be connected to a smartphone for live views and controls. Additionally, you get two additional flight batteries, a charging hub, ND filters, and a carrying case.
Then there is the RC 2 Fly More Combo, targeted at more advanced users. This combo upgrades the remote to the RC 2 remote controller with a 5.5-inch 1080p screen. Other than that, the rest of the bundled goodies are the same.
