DJI — as a company — barely needs an introduction. It is the biggest name in things like action cameras, gimbals, and drones. Talking of drones, a new one just made it into the Nepali borders. This article will delve into the nitty-gritty of the DJI Avata 2 including its price in Nepal.
DJI Avata 2 Overview
The Drone
The DJI Avata 2 looks more or less similar to its predecessor. It comes with four propellers and a camera visible right from the get-go. The camera here has a 1/1.3-inch sensor with an effective resolution of 12MP. Meanwhile, it is capable of taking 4K videos at up to 60 fps. Similarly, for power, it relies on a 2,150 mAh battery and offers approximately 23 minutes of flight time.
The drone can ascend as well as descend at a speed of 9 m/s in sports mode. Additionally, it can reach a maximum altitude and distance of five and 13 kilometres respectively. Other than that, the DJI Avata 2 packs a three-way navigation system and a single-axis mechanical gimbal system. Furthermore, it comes with an internal storage of 46GB and support for additional storage via microSD card. Moreover, the drone also comes with WiFi 5 and Bluetooth 5.0 for wireless connectivity.
The DJI Avata 2 much like its predecessor is an FPV drone and comes with bundled goodies. Firstly, you get the DJI FPV Remote Controller 3. It has a 2,600 mAh battery which offers you about 10 hours of usage. In the meantime, the controller takes 2 hours to charge.
Other than the remote, you also get the DJI Goggles 3 along with the drone. These Googles are shaped like a VR headset and come with two screens, each stretching 0.49 inches. It offers a resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 while the refresh rate can go up to 100Hz. Furthermore, the Goggles 3 also works with other DJI drones. It comes with a built-in battery of 3,000 mAh battery, antennas for transmission, as well as a SD card support of up to 512GB. In addition to that, it operates on WiFi 5 and Bluetooth 5.0 as well.
