After multiple rumors and leaks, the Google Pixel 8a has finally gone official. This new midrange offering arrives with a 120Hz OLED display, Tensor G3 chipset, dual camera setup, and more. Without further ado, let’s head into the specs, features, and expected price of Google Pixel 8a in Nepal.

Rounded Corners Design

Pixel 8a has finally strayed from the boxy design of its predecessor and adopted a curvier body with rounded corners just like its more expensive siblings. The back features the iconic camera visor alongside a Google logo in the center. You also get IP67 ingress protection. In terms of color options, Google has provided some fun colors this time: Aloe (Limited Edition), Bay, Obsidian, and Porcelain.

As for the screen, it is a 6.1-inch FHD+ OLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, the first time ever on an "A" series Pixel phone. The bezels are slightly thicker than the standard Pixel 8 and feature a hole-punch cutout. Likewise, the display is protected by Gorilla Glass 3 protection and rated for a peak brightness of 2000nits.

Tensor G3

The Pixel 8a is powered by the 4nm Tensor G3 chipset. This 4nm fabbed 9-core SoC boasts a prime Cortex-X3 core at 2910 MHz, four Cortex-A715 cores at 2370 MHz, and four Cortex-A510 cores at 1700 MHz. Handling the graphics part is a Mali-G715MP7 GPU. In case you are wondering, the Tensor G3 scores around 1.14 million scores on Antutue V10 as per nanoreview. You also get a Titan M2 security chip and built-in VPN protection as well. As for the software, it boots on Android 14 with seven years of OS and security updates promise. While you can already install Android 15 beta on this guy. And this time, there are two variants of the Pixel 8a: 8/128GB and 8/256GB.

Audio Magic Eraser It's a Pixel device, so AI features are pretty imminent. The device features Circle to Search, AI-powered Pixel Call Assist, and Audio Emoji. The latter will be made available after some time which can trigger an audio reaction and visual effect for audio calls.

Dual Cameras

The upcoming Pixel 8a continues providing a dual camera setup. The primary camera is a 64MP Samsung jN2 sensor, complimented by a 13MP ultrawide lens. Over on the front, it houses a 13MP Sony IMX selfie snapper. Here as well, you get multiple AI stuff such as Gemini, Best Take, Audio Magic Eraser, Night Sight, and Photo Unblur.

Fueling the smartphone is a 4492mAh battery with support for 18W wired charging. Google claims a reliable all-day battery life with this phone.
