Design and Display

Design-wise, Honor hasn't altered much with a circular camera module. The X9c Smart is also sturdy, thanks to the 5-star drop resistance protection and waterproof design, although you should know that Honor doesn't mention any official IP rating for this phone.

As for the display, you get a 6.8-inch flat display here, which is a TFT LCD panel instead of an AMOLED one like on the Honor X9c. It boasts a 2412 x 1080 resolution with a 120Hz refresh rate, 850 nits of peak brightness, and DC dimming to prevent eye strain due to screen flickering.

Performance

Under the hood, the Honor X9c packs a Dimensity 7025 Ultra SoC. This 6nm fabbed chip boasts two Cortex-A78 cores at 2.5GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores at 2.0GHz. Handling the graphics here is IMG BXM-8-256 GPU. Honor has paired the chip with 8/12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. Meanwhile, Honor X9c Smart boots on Android 14-based MagicOS 8.0 software.

Camera

As for the optics, the Honor X9c Smart employs a dual-camera setup. The primary camera is a 108MP sensor with an f/1.75 aperture, while the other one is a generic 5MP ultrawide unit. Up front, there is a 16MP unit for taking selfies and video calls. In terms of videography, the Honor X9c can only shoot up to 1080p resolution.

Battery, Charging, and Others

Moving on, fueling the Honor X9c Smart is a 5800mAh Li-ion Polymer battery with 35W of wired fast charging support. Connectivity options include 5G, WiFi 6 (Dual-band), Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, and a USB-C port. Furthermore, there is a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for biometric security.
