The device follows Apple's Air branding, prioritizing a slim profile. However, it will come with trade-offs such as a single rear camera and the removal of the bottom speaker. Instead, it will rely on a single speaker built into the earpiece.

The device will feature a 6.6-inch ProMotion OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Apple is also bringing the Always-On Display feature, which was previously limited to Pro models.
