Itel similar to its sister companies — Infinix and Tecno, specialise in offering good deals on budget. While the latter two have started building a brand reputation, Itel falls behind in that regard. However, that did not stop them from introducing the cheapest smartphone powered by Helio G99 Ultimate in Nepal. Let's take a deeper look at the Itel RS4 including its price in Nepal in this article.
Itel RS4 Overview
Design and Display
The Itel RS4 comes in a pretty standard smartphone design of recent times. As such, it has a large centrally aligned circular camera island. It also has streaks and lines on the back which are inspired by racing cars as per the company. This reigns true for the Silvery White and Lurex Black options only. The Elegant Beige comes in a vegan leather finish with stitching running across it, giving it a premium look. Sadly, this variant of the phone did not arrive in Nepal.
On the front, the phone sports a 6.56-inch HD+ display. The company is reluctant to mention the type of panel on this phone. This likely means that the Itel RS4 is probably rocking an IPS LCD panel. While the vibrancy of the screen might not be the best, it is not at all slow. It boasts a rapid refresh and touch sampling rate of 120Hz and 240Hz respectively.
Performance
Itel is leaning heavily on the gaming capabilities of the phone. It packs the MediaTek Helio G99 Ultimate, which is pretty much the best option in this price range. In fact, this is the cheapest phone to come with this processor. Talking of the silicon itself, it comes with 6nm fabrication and clocks in at a maximum of 2.2 GHz. Itel also promises that the RS4 can deliver high frame rates on popular titles like Mobile Legends, PUBG, and FreeFire.
In addition, the phone comes with either 8GB or 12GB of memory with an option to virtually double it. However, only the lower option is available in Nepal. On the other hand, the Itel RS4 has a single storage option of 256GB. It boots on itel OS 13, which in turn is based on Android 13.
The camera department in this phone is rather mediocre. It comes with a single 50MP shooter on the back. It also has what seems like another camera lens, but all it does is play pretend. Meanwhile, the Itel RS4 has an 8MP unit on the front for selfies and facial recognition.
It packs a 5,000 mAh battery with up to 45W of PowerCharge support. Similar to its sister companies, Itel lets you toggle between the charging types depending on your needs. Not only that, the Itel RS4 also supports bypass charging. This tech allows the phone to be directly powered through the charger instead of the battery. As a result, the phone does not heat up while also ensuring the longevity of battery health. Lastly, the phone also packs a Z-axis motor, gyroscope, dual WiFi antennas, and dual speakers to further enhance the gaming experience.
