At the CES show, Lenovo and Motorola unveiled their first co-branded smartphone, the ThinkPhone by Motorola. As the name suggests, it is inspired by a ThinkPad laptop and even features Lenovo's signature red button. In this section, we will go over the specs, features, availability, and expected price of the Motorola Lenovo ThinkPhone in Nepal.
Lenovo ThinkPhone by Motorola Overview:
Design, Display
To begin with, the ThinkPhone by Motorola features a rugged yet unique design that resembles the recently released ThinkPad X1 Extreme Gen 5. It’s made of an aramid fiber back panel which is claimed to be stronger than steel. And the device’s frame is built with aircraft-grade aluminum.
Likewise, the ThinkPhone is IP68 certified, meaning it can withstand being submerged in water up to 1.5 meters deep for a half hour. It is also MIL-STD 810H certified, meaning it can withstand drops of up to 1.25 meters. The signature red button, we talked about earlier, is customizable to do different tasks. On the front, you get a 6.6-inch OLED display with a Full HD+ resolution and 144Hz refresh rate. Motorola has also offered HDR 10+ support and the screen is guarded by Gorilla Glass Victus.
Inside, the smartphone is powered Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor. Agree, it's not the latest but the 8+ Gen 1 is still one of the most powerful Android chipsets. It comes with 8GB or 12GB of RAM and the storage option includes offers of 128GB, 256GB, or 512GB. Lenovo has also included a comprehensive suite of security and support features to ensure the protection and manageability of the device. These features are all encompassed under the umbrella of ThinkShield, a hardware and software-based protection system. Enterprise will appreciate the ability to easily deploy and manage a large number of ThinkPhones through the use of Zero Touch and device management solutions like Moto OEMConfig and Moto Device Manager. Likewise, Moto Secure, an app included on the phone, serves as a centralized hub for all things related to security and privacy on the device. That’s not all, the ThinkPhone by Motorola also includes Moto KeySafe, a separate processor running on Android that adds an extra layer of security to protect sensitive data such as passwords, PINs, and cryptographic keys.
Cameras
The camera hardware on the Motorola ThinkPhone includes a 50MP f/1.8 main camera with PDAF and OIS. There's also a 13MP f/2.2 ultrawide with Macro Vision, and a depth sensor. On the front, there’s a 32MP selfie camera with autofocus.
Rest of the specs
Fueling the smartphone is a 5,000mAh battery that supports 68W wired charging and 15W wireless charging. And don't worry, you won't have to go out and buy a separate wireless charger - one is included in the box! Moreover, it comes pre-loaded with apps like Microsoft 365, Outlook, and Teams.
Lenovo ThinkPhone by Motorola Price in Nepal and Availability
The smartphone will soon be available in the United States, Europe, Latin America, the Middle East, Australia, and a few Asian countries. Lenovo, on the other hand, has yet to release the pricing details.
