Lenovo V Series Laptops 

Lenovo V series laptops are ‘simple, powerful, and secure’ business devices. They prioritize portability, and reliability alongside a key focus on security, and productivity. As such, they are offered in compact 14” and 15” form factors, alongside efficient ‘U’ class processors, and privacy features. Do note that V17 laptops, with 17” displays, and more powerful 'H' series processors are also available in some markets but they are currently unavailable in Nepal.

Design and Display 

Lenovo’s V14 features a minimal and modern design with a brand logo on the top-right of the lid and a clean front. We get to see an 80% keyboard (full-sized keyboard without number pad) which unfortunately lacks a backlight and a decently sized trackpad. The laptop is easy to carry for office and business use weighing just around 1.5 kg. On the display front, we get a 14” Full HD screen with either a TN or IPS panel. Color coverage is at 45% NTSC gamut – common for laptops at this price point. The display has an anti-reflective matte coating and can go to 250 or 300 nits of brightness depending on the configuration.

Performance and Memory 

Powering the Lenovo V14 business laptops are 7000 series AMD CPU and 13th Gen Intel chips. For now, you can get your hands on a Ryzen 5 7520U variant or a Ryzen 7 7730U. Moreover, on the Intel side, you have a Core i5 and Core i7 to choose from.

As for memory, you get 8GB of soldered DDR4 RAM, with a slot for an extra stick in the future. Similarly, there’s 512GB of Gen 4 NVME SSD. 

Security and Battery 

In terms of security, you get a TPM (Trusted Platform Module) to encrypt passwords and other critical data. It also features malware detection to prevent cyber threats. Similarly, there's a privacy shutter and a Kensington Nano slot for theft protection.  Fueling the Lenovo V14 G4 is either a 38Wh or a 45Wh battery. You get dual-band WiFi 5 and Bluetooth 5.1, alongside 2 USB A ports, a single USB-C port, a 3.5mm jack, an HDMI 1.4 port, and an ethernet jack for connectivity.
