ZTE launched an affordable foldable phone called the Libero Flip, just a while ago. The company then later repackaged the phone for its sub-brand and launched it as the Nubia Flip 5G. In this article, we will discuss the Nubia Flip, including its full specifications, expected price in Nepal and more.

ZTE Nubia Flip 5G Overview

Design and Display

The Nubia Flip 5G is a clamshell foldable phone measuring 170 x 75.5 x 7.0 mm when unfolded and 87.6 x 75.5 x 15.00 mm when folded. It weighs just 209 g and appears to have a matte back panel layered with AG glass. In the meantime, the frames of the phone appear to be metal while the hinge is made of space-grade steel. It is available in three colour options with different names catering to different audiences. That being said, it ships in Cosmic Black (Caramel), Sunshine Gold (Milk Tea), and Flowing Lilac (Taro). Featuring a foldable OLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz, the Nubia Flip offers users a smooth and immersive viewing experience. The inner display is 6.9 inches in size and FHD+ in resolution. It also offers 2160Hz PWM dimming as well as a full DCI-P3 colour gamut. Additionally, the device sports a cover display measuring 1.43 inches, also an OLED, providing quick access to notifications and other essential information.

Performance and OS

Powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset, the Nubia Flip 5G should offer smooth everyday performance. The processor packs eight cores and clocks in at 2.4 GHz. Meanwhile, the Adreno 644 GPU handles the graphical performance for gaming and multimedia experiences. The Nubia Flip 5G is available in three different configurations. The first is 8GB + 256GB, which is sufficient for an average user. Next up, you can get this phone with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. Lastly, the highest configuration this phone ships in is 12GB memory and 512GB storage. Software-wise it boots on MyOS 13 based on Android 13.

Camera and the rest

On the camera front, the device features a dual rear camera setup comprising a 50MP wide lens and a 2MP depth sensor, along with a 16MP wide selfie camera, enabling users to capture stunning photos and videos. Moreover, it comes with all the camera features you'd expect from a flip phone. Like the internal and external display preview, and gesture photography. Other than that, you also get real-time filers like Black Gold, Cyberpunk, Film, and Mucha, alongside 4K video stabilization. The ZTE Nubia Flip 5G comes equipped with a range of connectivity options, including the obvious 5G cellular alongside Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, and USB Type-C. It also features stereo speakers with Snapdragon Sound processing and DTS:X Ultra support for an enhanced audio experience. Powering the device is a non-removable 4310mAh battery, with support for 33W wired charging, that can reach 0 to 50 in just 18 minutes.

Nubia Flip 5G Price in Nepal and Availability

The Nubia Flip 5G was first unveiled at MWC 2024 back in February. Thereafter, the phone went ahead and bagged the iF Design Award and it is finally launching formally. It is available for pre-order worldwide, however, a launch event is scheduled for 16 April 2024 in China. The phone starts at CNY 2,999 and goes up to CNY 3,699. It is highly unlikely that it will make it to our borders. However, even the Honor Magic V2 is coming here, so never say never. Anyway, if it does arrive here, we expect the Nubia Flip 5G price in Nepal to start at NPR 66,999.
