ZTE sub-brand Nubia is launching a new phone strictly targeted at gamers. The company has cherry-picked the information they chose to share with us. Despite that, we will discuss all there is to the Nubia Neo 2 5G in this article.

Design and Display

The Nubia Neo 2 5G is a phone for gamers, and you can tell that by just looking at it. The phone has a very mechanical design with two unorthodox octagonal camera cutouts on the back. Judging by the looks, the phone appears to have chosen polycarbonate as the material of choice on the back. On the front, we are getting a 6.72-inch screen as the face of the phone. The display on the Nubia Neo 2 5G spans 2,400 x 1,080 pixels. It also refreshes at the rate of 120 times per second. The company has not mentioned the type of panel on this phone. But it could be an IPS LCD if we assume that Nubia does not upgrade from its previous iteration i.e. Nubia Neo 5G.

Performance

For primary processing, the recently announced Nubia phone relies on an unspecified octa-core processor that peaks at 2.7GHz frequency. Additionally, you get up to 20 gigs of dynamic RAM by combining physical and virtual memory. In terms of storage, the Nubia Neo 2 5G caps out at 256GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage. Other performance aspects of this phone include a multi-layer heat dissipation system for heat management and performance stability. Moreover, you get dual-gaming shoulder triggers for additional gaming functionality as well. The phone comes with Game Space 2.0 which optimises the phone during gaming sessions through software magic.

Battery and the rest

In the tank, the latest Nubia gaming phone packs a monstrous 6,000 mAh battery that you can juice up with 33W of fast charging. The company claims to have an AI power-saving technology which should add even more battery life on top of the raw capacity of the cell. Moreover, for audio, you get a dual stereo speaker with DTS:X Ultra support. This should add a layer of immersiveness during gaming and media consumption.
