In September 2022, Apple announced its first-ever rugged smartwatch, the Watch Ultra. It's designed to cater to athletes and explorers who need a more sport-specific performance from their wearables. The watch has a tough design, with a Titanium case that's secured military-grade certifications. It's also water-resistant up to 100 meters and certified for diving (EN 13319). Apple also says that the buttons are designed to be accessible even when wearing gloves. There's also a new "Action Button" that allows you to activate various shortcuts such as compass, Backtrack, workouts, and more. Another new development to the Watch Ultra is that its display can reach a maximum brightness of 2000 nits, the highest for any smartwatch to date. The werable is powered by a S8 chip and runs watchOS 9 (upgradeable). Furthermore, its battery is one of the best in the lineup. With up to 36 hours of normal usage battery life on a single charge—or 18 hours with LTE. You can even extend it to 60 hours by using the "Low Power" mode.
