      Redmi 12 5G is the latest offering from Xiaomi, bringing a powerful and efficient smartphone experience to users. Not only does it bring 5G connectivity on budget, but it is also the first Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 phone to launch outside of China. Let’s delve into the specs, expected price, and availability of Redmi 12 5G in Nepal.

      The smartphone boasts a crystal glass design, inspired by real crystals and gemstones. Additionally, the Redmi 12 5G has an IP53 rating for dust and splash resistance, and it features Corning Gorilla Glass on both the front and back for protection. It features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. The device is available in three beautiful colors, Jade Black, Pastel Blue, and Moonstone Silver. Redmi 12 5G offers the visual experience of a 6.79" FHD+ display. It covers a 91% screen-to-body ratio. Also, it features a resolution of 2460x1080 and a 90Hz AdaptiveSync refresh rate. The device comes with a peak brightness of 550 nits and a touch sampling rate of 240Hz.

      Performance and Storage

      Redmi 12 5G is powered by Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 which is a 5G chip built. In fact, it is the second phone to come equipped with the chip after the China-exclusive Note 12R. The chip features an improved Qualcomm Kryo CPU 64-bit architecture, offering up to 10% better performance and battery efficiency, with peak speeds of up to 2.2 GHz. The device also offers multiple storage variants, catering to different user needs with up to 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage, expandable up to a whopping 1TB.

      50 MP Camera

      At the back, there are three circular bumps housing the cameras and LED flash. The "Infinite Camera Deco" setup is equipped with a 50MP primary camera that uses AI technology, along with a 2MP depth camera. It also boasts an 8MP front camera for taking selfies and making video calls. Additionally, there are seven classic film filters that can be used for artistic photography.

      Redmi 12 5G comes with a 5000mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging capability. Still, Xiaomi provides a 22.5W adapter in the box. It also sports a 3.5mm headphone jack. For software, the device runs on Android 13 with MIUI 14, for everyday user experience. The  also offers 2 years of Android updates and 3 years of security updates for a future-ready experience.
