Tecno has announced the Camon 40, a new smartphone featuring an AMOLED display and a MediaTek chipset. The device is set to launch in Q2 2025. This article will discuss the latest Tecno Camon 40, including its expected price in Nepal.
Tecno Camon 40 Overview
Display and Design
The Tecno Camon 40 features a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It has a resolution of 1080 x 2436 pixels and supports an always-on display. The device is now 7.3 mm in thickness and features a vertical triple layer camera layout instead of a circular setup that we saw in Camon 30.
Performance and Software
The smartphone runs on Android 15 with HIOS 15. It is powered by the MediaTek Helio G100 Ultimate chipset, an upgrade over last year's Camon 30's Helio G99. Although the performance gap is not significant, it offers decent capability for budget gaming. The processor features an octa-core setup with 2x2.2 GHz Cortex-A76 and 6x2.0 GHz Cortex-A55 cores, paired with a Mali-G57 MC2 GPU.
Camera Setup
For a budget phone, the Camon 40 offers really good sets of cameras. The Camon 40 has a dual-camera setup on the back. It includes a 50MP main sensor with PDAF and OIS, along with an 8MP ultrawide lens. The front camera has a 32MP sensor for selfies. Meanwhile, the device comes with a 5200mAh battery and supports 45W wired charging.

Tecno Camon 40 Price in Nepal and Availability
Tecno has not announced the official price yet. However, when it arrives in Nepal, it is expected to start at no less than NPR 28,800. The phone is set to launch globally in Q2 2025.
