Just a few days ago, we knew Xiaomi was bringing its custom XRING O1 chipset this May. Now, the latest news confirms this chipset will debut in the upcoming Xiaomi 15S Pro smartphone. Alongside, we will also see the Xiaomi Pad 7 Ultra tablet and the YU7 SUV. Let's discuss this in depth.

      What to expect

Xiaomi 15S Pro is coming with XRING O1

The Xiaomi 15S Pro is set to debut as the company’s latest flagship smartphone and the first device to feature Xiaomi’s in-house XRING O1 SoC. Xiaomi built this chip on a modern 3nm process, packing it with 10 cores for excellent speed, better power use, and smarter AI performance.
      Xiaomi 15S Pro benchmark
According to early benchmark tests, the chip performs even better than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 in multi-core tasks, which is a big win for Xiaomi’s first self-made processor. The 15S Pro pairs this chip with up to 16GB of RAM and runs on Android 15. Xiaomi is clearly aiming high here, especially with its focus on imaging and processing power.

Xiaomi Pad 7 Ultra and YU7 SUV

At this launch, Xiaomi is also bringing out two other big products: the Pad 7 Ultra and the YU7 SUV. The Pad 7 Ultra is a premium tablet with a 14-inch LTPO display that supports 3.2K resolution. It runs on the new Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chip and supports 120W fast charging. On the other hand, the YU7 SUV shows Xiaomi stepping into electric vehicles with confidence. The design is sleek and modern, and it includes a powerful dual-motor system that can hit up to 390 horsepower.

      Launch details and event schedule

Xiaomi’s 15th anniversary event is happening on May 22, 2025, at 7:00 PM local time (4:30 PM IST) in China. The company will stream it live on all official platforms, and founder Lei Jun will lead the announcements.
