Xiaomi has unveiled its latest electric scooter, the Xiaomi Electric Scooter 4 Ultra, at MWC, 2023. The newest scooter from the company bears some upgrades over its predecessor, the Scooter 4 Pro in terms of design, horsepower, and run time. Design

The new Scooter 4 Ultra boasts some changes in the design aspects as compared to the Pro model. It has a wider and higher handlebar for more comfortable usage. And the maximum load capacity is now increased to up to 120kg, as it has a stronger aluminum alloy frame than that of the Scooter 4 Pro. The electric vehicle also bags an IP55 rating against dust and water resistance. It is a foldable scooter with a dimension of 545 x 1200 x 545 mm when folded and 1260 x 1200 mm when unfolded. As for the weight, it is 24.5kg heavy. Likewise, there is a touchscreen for modes switching and viewing speed, battery life, etc.

Features

One of the key improvements in the Ultra is its dual suspension system. This allows the Scooter 4 Ultra to run smoothly even on difficult terrains and roads with better shock absorption. The top speed is rated at 25km per hour while it can also run on a 25% inclined slope, thanks to the 940W brushless motor. Likewise, there is Sports/S+ mode that can accelerate the speed to 25km per hour in just 4 seconds. For speed control, there is E-ABS + drum brake system. Lifting up the scooter is Xiaomi's DuraGel Tire which is a 10-inches self-sealing, puncture-proof, and tubeless tire. For night rides, Xiaomi has also provided a front light that can be turned on by long pressing the power button. Likewise, the tail light can be set to always on mode via the Mi Home app.

Battery, Charging, and Connectivity

Powering the electric scooter is a 12000mAh Lithium-ion battery. It can be fully charged within 6.5 hours via a 124W charger. Talking of the backup, the Xiaomi Scooter 4 Ultra has a run time of 70km which is 25km longer than its predecessor. The scooter can connect with Xiaomi's Mi Home app. The user can view the remaining range, ride data, and history from the app. On top of that, the app can also send notifications related to any fault on the electric scooter.
