      Following the successful launch of the Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro, the company is now preparing to unveil new models from its sub-brand Redmi—the K80 series. In this article, let’s discuss the Xiaomi Redmi K80 series, including its rumors, leaks, and launch date.

      Display and Design 

      Recently leaked images reveal a major design renovation for the Redmi K80 with a circular camera array, reminiscent of the Xiaomi Civi 4 Pro. Other than that, the phone has a sleek, glossy white/silver finish. Both phones will feature an IP68 rating dor dust and water resistance.

      Regarding the display, the base K80 model is rumored to feature a 2K Huaxing LTPS panel. It will reportedly include an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor beneath the display. The Pro variant is expected to come with the same 2K Huaxing LTPS panel and an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint sensor. Both models will feature Dragon Crystal Glass protection and IP68 dust and water resistance, with Antidrop glass protection on both the front and back panels.

      Performance and Battery

      In terms of performance, the standard K80 is expected to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, while the Pro version will likely boast the more powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. Moreover, the series will run on HyperOS 2, which has been specially optimized for gaming performance, featuring enhanced touch response and new system animations.

      Likewise, the vanilla K80 and K80 Pro will sport a sizeable 6500mAh battery and a 6000mAh cell respectively.  The standard model will sport a 90W fast charging and 30W wireless charging whereas the Pro model steps up to 120W wired charging and 50W wireless charging capabilities.

      Camera

      For the optics, the distinctive circular camera module houses three sensors and a flash unit, with "50MP" prominently displayed. The rear camera of the Redmi K80 will likely feature a 50MP OmniVision OV50 main sensor, an 8MP ultrawide sensor, and a 2MP macro lens. Likewise, the Pro version will sport a 50-megapixel OmniVision Light Fusion 800 primary camera, a 32-megapixel Samsung S5KKD1 ultra-wide lens, and a 50-megapixel telephoto camera with a 2.6x optical zoom.
